We’re launching the Go Green Challenge campaign to reach out to our family and friends to help bring the Spare Our Planet Program to communities across the country.
The Go Green Challenge is a movement among young people who care about the future of our planet to implement the Spare Our Planet Program in communities across the country. Starting in January 2012, we will launch friendly competitions in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City.
We have learned how the use of technology, a sense of commitment, and a competitive spirit can teach students they are in control of their choices, and that they can make a difference. The students are empowered to make choices that leave a smaller carbon footprint, and they begin to see that making better choices is part of the solution. It’s a new, higher level of awareness for students.
Our objective is to promote personal behavior alternatives to carbon-intense consumption and lifestyle habits, to provide young people a voice, and empower them to play a significant role in developing climate change solutions. Special thanks to the educators at all the participating schools for their support, and to all the students that made the commitment to go green.
